I always wondered about this. Are there more unbeautiful people (without umbrellas) than otherwise?
It makes no sense as a geographical question because rainfall is generally higher in mountainous areas.
If you think about it, it OUGHT to be 'The reyn in Speyn falls meynly on the pleyn' because the Cockney way of saying is is actually closer to 'ai' (or 'ay', if you like).
