Tropical Storm Ernesto may well go down the length of the island, and form tornados. It would be humanitarian, and possibly help post-Castro.

We should certainly offer, but there is no saying whether Castro (Fidel or Raul) would accept, such is the silliness of our relations with one another. One could also argue that the lifting of US sanctions against Cuba would be humanitarian in and of itself. They certainly haven't worked as intended.

I see nothing wrong with helping other Nations that have suffered a Natural Disaster "BUT" I also feel that we need to worry about rebuilding New Orleans before spending money anywhere else.

It has been a year since Katrina and New Orleans still looks like a City that you would expect to find, in a Third World Country!

It's a real shame...much of the money being spent on that damned War in Iraq, could have done so much good, for the people of the USA.

I don't like Fidel Castro, but I believe it would be a good thing to offer humanitarian aid to the Cuban people and to do so without making any political comments about the country.

It is difficult to say what will happen once Castro passes on to the great sugar cane field in the sky, but I know the many Cuban people who hate Castro and what he has done would very much like to see a Free Cuba.

Cuban people are like any other. Decent and hard-working. I would favor helping them as much as we can.
