Depends on how long you've been watching. Most of you wouldn't remember, or probably even been born when the WWE was called The WWWF (World Wide Wrestling Federation) and was run by Vince MacMahan Senior. The big star then (The Hogan, Steve Austin, etc of his day) was a man from Italy named Bruno Sammartino. He had numerous feuds with many a heel, but even today there are some who consider his feud with Cowboy Bill Watts to be the most intense in the history of the company.

Anyone who has crossed McMahon. Savage and McMahon have a pretty bad history with each other and McMahon has said that no one should say his name if McMahon is in the room. As for on screen, Austin and McMahon have a very colorful past. But all together, on and off the screen, I gotta go with Michaels and Hart. Those two had backstage heat for over two years before the culmination with the Montreal Screwjob.

The rivalry between "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, and Bret "The Hitman" Hart was quite big. Or the greatest rivalry between the 2 best friends HBK Shawn Michaels, and Triple H was also unthinkable.
