Some things to consider might be: How old is your son? What kind of relationship do YOU have with her...good or bad? What kind of relationship does HE have with her...good or bad? Is she able to keep up with him? Can she stop him from doing something wrong? Can she assure his safety in and around the home?...Not playing around traffic, not playing with matches or anything that could be no good and harm him? Would she need to cook for him?, wash?, simple medical care?, know to call a Dr./ hospital if need be? Do you work close enough that you could get to her home in a relatively short time? Just a few things you might want to consider before making a decision.

It would all depend on the conditions. Since you are asking the question it is possible you already know the answer and feel bad that you will have to tell your mother-in-law that you will be having someone else watch him.

Hell no! My own mother is disabled and I will not let her babysit. Your child comes first.

depends on how old your son is. if it's below 10 y/o, i wouldn't. it also depends on what condition ur mother in law has.

physcial conditions, may not deter me too much, but mental ones would have me looking for a day care!
