What is the point of it all? When will we reach happiness? What do we work for? Save for? Spend our lives chasing?
Generally speaking I think people are looking for love... is it possible to enjoy life and money without someone to share it with?

The point of it all is to find harmony with everything that surrounds you. To give what you take, to be satisfied with your dreams when you find your environment of tranquility.
Yes it is possible to have a long and fulfilling life without being married or romantically committed to just one person, but happiness is not possible without the love of true friends. Life and money mean nothing if your completely alone.

To be whole.
When do we reach happiness?
When you stop thinking about yourself and think of others.
Why work and save?
Survival first.
Chasing?
The chasing is more exciting than the prize.
Looking for love?
Definitely.
Enjoy life and money without someone to share it with?
Definitely.......NOT.

because if i don't do what i do then who else will? and besides, i like what i do or the goal that i am reaching with what i am doing. :D
for me, life's purpose to be successful (being YOUR best (mind you being THE best is different)), happy and having someone to share all this with.
What is the point of it all? you find your own meaning in life. i like improving myself and at the same time help others. that is the point for me.
When will we reach happiness? reaching a goal brings happiness. then i set higher goals. its an upward progression. i would really hate stagnating. i try to stay away from that. maybe your question is with regards to REAL happiness. some find it through religion. im still searching for it. ill let you know when i find it and vice versa. k?
What do we work for? i work for my dreams and my happiness and my success. i do not like to be non-productive.
Save for? my goal now is to save enough money to go see the world and different cultures. and maybe go into medical school.
Spend our lives chasing? happiness. it is so elusive. its a state that you achieve but really never stays for long. i think it is because of man's nature. he is insatiable. we always seek for something better. something greater.
to your last q. i think it is yes. if you learn to love yourself first and foremost, you can learn to be happy on your own. most of the time im like that. but sometimes the road gets lonely. man, again by nature are social beings. we crave human warmth and interaction. the question is, to what extent do we crave it and with whom?

Happiness, like love, is a choice, but because we usually let other people and/or situations make that choice for us, we give up the power to know that we are always in control of how we feel. Thus mankind is always searching for outside sources of happiness and love, when all along it was always but a choice most people choose not to make.

what about married couples? would you say they're still searching for love? thing is, people are really looking for a companion... one who stand by him/her and be a friend to last all eternity.
why do i do what i do? simple, giving compassion is the trait we all must practice... cherishing moments spent in this world, building memories, creating a network of friends, knowing that one exists... that's what we are really in for - to be the best of what we can be...
