Ah, yes, I remember it well. My partner Miles Archer and I had just gotten back from trailing this deadbeat over in the Tenderloin when what do you know! Inspector McGillicuddy comes up to us, see and he says: "Now what'er ye up to me boys? I could haul yuz in fer jaywalkin', but this bein' St Patrick's day an' all, I'm feelin' me blarney side cumin' out. So why'n't we go down ta th'old lefty O'Doul's and see if there'd be a cupola brews for proper gents what's pillars of society?"

We told Mac we'd best be getting along as it was soon approaching time for another stake-out - -this time with Ellis "the weasel" Brooks, a notorious grifter trying to pass counterfeit Benjamins. But sure coulda used that brew.

it's sinking into the ground! it is all fill that was done for a world fair many decades ago. it's a cheap place to live though, if you don't have much to spend on rent. the apartments there really suck... shoddy 70s construction. commuting to it is a pain... you have to drive or take the bus (which does not run frequently). if the bay bridge gets shut down (as it will be next weekend) you are pretty much stuck. it might be a San Francisco address technically, but you will not feel like you are part of the city.
