I cannot stand flip flops on anyone. Almost everyone I see wearing them just drags their feet and lets them make that flip-flop sound that is so annoying. They are so cheap looking. I see a lot of big ladies wearing them and house shoes in stores. They are not appropriate to wear to school in my opinion.

Not ghetto but not appropriate either for kids. Kids need real shoes (yes the not so fashionable shoes) to learn to walk properly. Flip flops are just for the weekend.

i like to wear flip flops when i go to school i think it comfortable.. and if i wear shoes i usually just take them off... if flip flops are inappropriate for school because it can be a hazard then what about high heels.. i see more people get hurt because of their high heels than flip flops

Flip-flops are not ghetto they are beachy turned trailer trash and the only place they should be worn is in your yard or to the beach/pool.

I like 'em cuz i live near the beach. However, they are against the dress code at many schools. Definitely not appropriate for children to wear to school. They wouldn't be able to play at recess or participate in P.E.

I think flip flops are..............flip flops. They are probably not appropriate for children to wear for school, as children will probably be running around and may trip and hurt themselves. HTH.

Definately not ghetto, but they shouldn't be worn to school. Besides not really looking appropriate, they usually end up blistering your feet if you wear them too much.

No, I do not think they are appropriate for school, but I understand the kids in our school district are allowed to wear them. I think the potential for foot injury and slipping and twisting ankles in those things is too great to risk wearing them to school. And a greater potential for picking up a foot fungus!!!
