We still have the great enabler, science. You may not know it but in the quiet labs of the world knowledge is bieng made and created at a rate you would barely believe.

If humans want to fix the earth, soon there will be ways to do it.

Might be close though.

oh poor "Mother Earth"... I piss on her... heck my dog does it all the time too. Why do people insist on glorifying this dam_ned planet? It's just a freegin planet mostly made out of dirt rocks and water.
This planet is far from being overpopulated. In fact I think I'll get my wife pregnant again just to piss you and your kind off. This planet is capable of supporting many more billions of people. In places like Africa people die not because there's not enough food for them but because of the corrupt communist and socialist governments that take resources from the people and give them to soldiers so they can fight wars for them. If the Zero Population Growth people are so worried about overpopulation why aren't they the first to jump off a building? Because they're a bunch of selfish people who don't want to share this planet with everybody else.

Oh, she's a survivor, all right. Species come and go, but Mother Earth remains. Whether she will remain a comfortable human habitation is another question. It may be that the only hope for Mother Earth is for the bulk of our population to go away into space. I saw a bumper sticker awhile back that said: "The meek shall inherit the earth. The rest of us are going to the stars."

Oh, yeah, Earth will be around for a few billion years longer. Humans on the other hand, will self-destruct long before that ... which will be very good for the planet as a whole.

You really think she cares? The only one we are hurting is ourselves. Mother can start over after we are gone. She has all the time in the world to do it again.
