As much as I know there should be only one svchost in taskmanager. I got 8:
5 - SYSTEM
2 - NETWORK SERVICE
1 - LOCAL SERVICE

I scaned my PC using ZoneAlarm Pro, Spyware Doctor and there is no any virus or spyware.

Not only one. There could be even more svchots on your PC. Because the svchost process controls the services in the registry and creates a list of needed services.
Try to close the one that is alone in ctrl+alt+del > processes.
If you want to see more info on the svchost click start > run > cmd > tasklist/svc and see what every svchost does.
Hope this helps.

It's normal to have several instances of the svchost.exe program running at any given time. You can find out what programs each instance is associated with by opening a Command-Prompt window and typing in "tasklist /svc".

You don't need to turn any of them off. All the programs associated with them are necessary programs for running your OS.

I currently have 5 running and all are legit. If you would like better confirmation you can go here and download a free trial of WinTask 5 Pro and use it to evaluate all your exe processes.

It's okay; it's quite normal to have multiple svchost.exe processes running. I've got 4 and I only just rebooted.
