There is no such thing as the speed of dark(ness). Darkness, technically, does not exist. It is merely an absence of light. Therefore, its speed cannot be measured (because it does not exist and, hence, cannot be a force). However, since the speed of light does not change, the same speed it travelled at to fill the room would be the same speed it travelled at to leave the room (therefore leaving the darkness). That being said, the speed at which the light left the room was 186000 miles a second.

Doesnt make sense sorry. Darkness is where there is no energy whereas light is a form of energy that goes through the darkness. Therefore you can not measure the speed of a non existent form of energy.

Light is energy. Dark is not energy, it is absence of light. Therefore, dark has no speed, It is there until replaced by light.

Dark, like evil, does not exist as an objective element of nature. It is a side affect of the absence of light.

Actally there is something called speed of dark
think72 has said this question has already been answered but none are satisfactory.
I have come to know that there are particles called "darkons" which are opposite of "photons". Many theories regarding this have been discussed in the link given below. Do go through it.

there is no such thing as the speed of dark
darkness is the absence of light. light photons are the ones travelling, hence being able to resolve the speed of light, in that sense.
darkness is there to begin with, just that light breaks that tranquility.
