i want connect client computers to server in a school computer lab. so i want to know about whole process of this.

You can easily do this.
*Equipment you need:
1 dedicated server machine (with good amout of RAM, Hard disk space), Network cards in each machine, network cables, depending on which network cable you are using - you need additional devices like HUB for UTP Cables.
* On ALL machines:
* Install and connect Network cards
* Install and Configure TCP/IP Network Protocol
1. Install a network Operating System like Windows 2000 Server on the Server machine. Create a Domain (its called Active Directory. its easy to do. Once you install the server, you get autoamtic startup screen for this.)
2. Make your clients part of this domain.
You are ready to go. Please refer to Windows Server documentation/help for user creation, user management etc.
