how do i know how much it will cost to ship and insure the product??

step one: pack in foam
step two: put in box
step three: take to ups store

To ship it:
- pack it at home, weight the entire package, not just laptop and put the estimated shipping price in your listing.

- write the package address at home after sold and that guy paid.

- then take the entire package to post office. or FedEx or whatever carrier you chose before selling, they will weight again and give you an official price for the shipping service.

I am Canadian I know eBay.ca/PayPal.ca links with Canada Post so I can change the final step to PayPal self-service if convenient and available to do so for me. I have no idea if other countries follow simmilar move.

When someone wins, you'll get an email that will tell you their address. As far as shipping, a lot of sellers have a flat rate....like for me, it's $3.50...I sell DVD's. You could take it to the post office and ask them to weight it and tell you approx. how much it will be. Be sure to add handling to your total for shipping supplies. On your listing, you can add a calculator that will calculate shipping according to bidders zip code.

place it on ebay and when someone buys it you have there address make sure you add shipping cost and insure it
