o2? Are they good?

I was thinking of switching to o2 for a new mobile. Is this a good network? Who's the best for mobiles (pay as you go)?

02 are good i,ve been with them 5years and have in the past had reason to complain about thier service but have always been treated with respect and usually end up getting some free credit as a goodwill gesture it also has the best uk coverage and has loads of deals for pay as you go sims often giving you sims free online i have just recently been a victim of a phone scam which took all my credit 2weeks on the trot o2 have written tom the company and have tried to help me all the way on this issue i diod have to call of a landline as they scammers took all my credit but in the end i had to put in a new sim o2 gave me free but could not afford to top up this week as i had £20 credit robbed from mne so o2 put on £2.50 as goodwill then transfered my remaing 60p from the old number and also put back my remaining free minutes in to the new sim from the old 1 and restored my free minutes, and put on my international talk and text bolton free to the new card all as a goodwill gesture the only thing they couldn,t do was put on the rewards i had gained on the old sim by topping up you earn 10% back of your top ups every 3months mine was at £5 already and had to go till oct but at least i can use the phone before i have even topped up the new sim which was free also in the past i have had 2 new phones and calling credit as a bonus for topping upo so much . they are always running reward schemes and do o2 treats as well they have excellent roaming service and in my personal opinion have the best tarrifs when you consider all the benifits you get what you pay for and do get a sympathetic hearing from customer services and they have good online service too

I think 02 are a brilliant network. I used to be on T Mobile and found I was buying credit all the time, almost everyone I know was telling me to switch to 02 so after about 5 years I did! I wish I'd of done it sooner because there are times now when I only put a tenner a month on as my bolt on lets me have 50 minutes to any mobile or landline and 50 texts for that a month. Switch networks and you'll never look back!!!

Out of the main networks, T-mobile have the worst coverage followed probably by o2. Other than that go for the network that gives you the best deal. I've had a contract with o2 in the past and had no problems with them, only left them cos I got a better deal elsewhere and they're 3G coverage is non existent.

O2 are pretty good value but their customer service is TERRIBLE.

they have foreign call centres where the staff cant deal with anything more than a really simple enquiry. its nearly impossible to cancel a contract with them... i spent numerous hours on the phone and wrote alot of letters before they'd cancel, even though i was no longer under contract.

for pay as you go, they're probably fine, as long as you dont need to use their call centres

I will say those are the BEST SMART Phones.
go for O2 XDA II S
only drawback is that it has a VGA Camera not Digital

o2 is the best network ive found have stuck wit um there prob the best around if your gettin p and go then get the genie sim it brill

O2 is good for business. it has all the business stuffs.
if you are a business man. it would worth your $.

for personal use, i won't recommend you this phone.

you did not mention what purpose are you gonna use it for. So cannot recommend you in a specific manner.

imho o2 are rubbish;;;; expensive calls (40p p/m), cost to call voice mail, they say you have used more txts than you have, wap dials up for no reason and their customer care is appauling - esp at 50 p p/m - with one complainant i spent over £75 trying to get it rectified..... atrocious
