Since America is the only country on the face of this Earth that doesn't use metric, do you think we need to switch? Metric is so much easier than our imperial system. So so you think we should also switch to celsius? I mean fahrenheit is just a dumbed down version of celsius, a 0-100 scale instead of a 0-32 scale. And do you think we should switch our dates to day/month/year instead of month/day/year?

These are things the rest of the world uses, and America doesn't for some unknown reason.

It is so much easier. 10mm = 1 cm; 100cm = 1m, 1000m = 1km.
etc etc etc. How hard is that to master? It would be too expensive to change everything over there which is probably why it's being resisted.
Oh by the by, the US military to my understanding use day-month-year, and when you arrive in the USA on your landing card you also write the date day-month-year.
If you do that, then the most famous day in your history will become 11-9

Day, month, year makes much more sense as does America changing to the Metric system like everyone else.

When I was in grade school ages ago, back in the dark ages, they said we'd be using the metric system by the time we were adults. Didn't happen yet. We're a little slow about change.

shouldn't you be smart enough to be competent in both. How much $$$$ would it take to accomplish this? How much just to change the mile markers and other signs just on the interstate system?

1st - America is always right...the rest of the world should switch to our ways
