I'm one of those teenage girls that you see who wear way too much eyeliner, and this I can deal with. Please, in answer to this, do not just say to not put on so much, because I clearly will anyway.
I don't use a who tube a week, but I like to have very dark eyeliner on my eyes. I use stick eyeliner by Rimmel, not liquid. Is there a way I can keep it from smearing? I never rub at my eyes during the day, but it always smudges down to beneath my eye and sinks into the crease just below it.
How can I keep it where it belongs? Am I applying it wrongly? How do you apply it? Only my bottom lid is giving me a hard time.

After applying the the black liner, apply some black powder over top of it with an angle brush or liner brush. Make sure to tap off the excess powder before applying. Under the black powder, apply some light eyeshadow (sliver looks the best I think if you want a dramatic look) or translucent face powder, minimally to stop the run of black. Make sure you are applying all of this on top of some foundation applied lightly around your eyes as a base or none of it will stay on because your natural oils will smear the oil in the pencil and run it down your eye into the crease.

I would invest in some higher quality eyeliner. I have never had trouble with the mary kay eyeliners. They stay put quite well, better then any department store or drug store brand ive tried. I would try eye lip primer as well! That gives the eyeliner something to stick too, keeping it where it should be.

The only eyeliner that I can use without it smearing is cake liner. It's hard to find but Clinique carries it. Put it on and then smudge a little so it's not so bold. I guess my eyelids tend to be oily or something because all the others smear on me.

Try applying a matte powder under your eyes for a better hold. You might have oily skin and so your eyeliner won't hold with sweat or oil. Try that trick. I also get racoon eyes from wearing eyeliner. and this trick I learned from the Nordstrom Makeup Representative works.

Try brushing powder before you apply the eyeliner. This seems to keep it from smudging for me, at least at the top lid.

Hmm, very difficult if you aren't willing to use liquid. The best thing I could suggest is to make sure you are lighting it before (put under a flame of a lighter for a second, then let cool for a second), or to put dusting powder in the same area before you apply your liner.

Too much moisturizer or foundation. Your skin must be dry, dry, dry before applying the eyeliner. Try patting powder on first.

Try putting foundation on your eyes, putting your eyeliner on, then dusting over with a light powder or light colored eyeshadow. Worked for me in my high school gothy phase. :-) Hope that helps.

I use Timeliner by Revlon on my on my lower lids, and it stays on pretty well. I don't like to wear the liquid on the lower lid either, because it's too hard to do it.
Good luck!!
