Right click on the music file you want to play with windows media player and select copy then go to my documents or any desired directory where you like to store your music file then right click on a blank space and select paste.

I would suggest copying the song from the sd card to your hard drive, perhaps my documents. Open up wmd, maximize the window so that you see the menu at the top, choose file and add to library, choose add folder or file. You will then need to direct wmd to the location where you saved your music file.

go to file then right to tools and there you will have to click on search for media files just click next next and so on it will find all the media your computer has and bring it to media player
hope this is helpful

one method
Tools>>options>>Player tab and check the "add music files to library when played" and also check "include files from removable media"
