Here's an exerpt from said website:

What is life? And why should we care? Well to begin with, we are living beings, and that fact distinguishes us from most things in the Universe. Though humans are not the only living things, we are among the few, so understanding the nature of life might be an important step toward understanding ourselves.

Living is life. Life is nothing but what, how, we live. Life is as long as there is the activity. The moment the activity stopped, there is no life. It can be seen in various ways for various things. For human beings it can be seen through breathing and heart beat. It can be seen for plants through photosynthesis. For fish and sea animals through breathing and movement. The live animals have the capability of movement and plants can not move though they have life.
