These fiddly bottle tops and catches, do they keep the kiddies safe or are they a provocative challenge?
And how are you supposed to open your medicine if you're feeling weak?

In my book, Euphojim, if dangerous substances are properly supervised, kids wouldn't be able to get near them even to try the childproof tops.

Well they prove a kid can open them, hence the name child proof coming from the word prove.
When I was little my mom used to give them to me and say here open this for me.
You must have it backwards.
Oh and I must boast my child has been able to open them since about 2, loved those Flinstone Vitamins, must be genetic.

Personally I don't think there should be a need for childproof devices. We didn't have any or either we didn't use any when i was growing up. We just knew better than to get into something that we were not suppose to. But trust me it took a few whippings but we got the picture!!.

Even a weak adult is ten times stronger than a kid. I think childproof stuff is a good idea. Kids are everywhere at once, its impossible to watch them ALL the time by yourself. Thumbs up to the makers of child safe items.

I have actually heard adults asking children how the heck to open something that is supposed to be childproof and some of these kids are clever enough to show adults how, so there not always that good are they.

Thank god for child proof stuff !!! My house is just one big advert for child proof gadgets (apart from my dvd recorder...i have about 6 hours of CBEEBIES recorded on my hd that has to be erased every day cause my little monster won't keep her hands off) How long does it take for kids to understand the word NO ?? Anyway, if it wasn't for child proof i wouldn't have a minute !

Those annoy me so much. They make prescription bottles with pop-tops instead of childproof proof ones, but you have to request it.

usually, if you turn the lid upside down, it becomes "not child proof" but you can still close it
I think childproof things are great because some idiots cant get them open and its hilarious to watch

They may keep the little kids out (say 2 and under). But after 3 they only seem to stop adults.

They certainly slow the kids down and if they are being properly supervised parents will know when they are close to sussing them out.
