If you're high school or college age, I would recommend finding someone who is way beyond your expertise and enjoyment of the subject and ask them to meet with you periodically to start a study group. Get a number of students together - ideally only 4-5 or it gets cumbersome. Work together and you'll be amazed and how you can improve in the area of Science.

There is no other way but to study. But you have to consider the different methods of studying and find the one which is best suited for you. In general, solving problems is a must. You have to do it in writing. Unfortunately you did not specify which level you are in and thus it is difficult to find suggestion for appropriate methods. But do a search on "how to study ....".
And read: Many pupils and students do not do very well in science because they have difficulties at understanding the text and even the questions asked.

Read the newest theories and then think about what you've read and question the hell out of it. Then after you've done that decide whether or not you believe the theory.

Doing this will help you gather an immense knowledge of science in little time.

Well you can always read up on it in a library close by. Or if you are not much of a reader there are usually some science shows on your television. Whatever works for you do it. : )

Learn math. The proofs in geometry are particularly helpful. Read Isaac Asimov's books on chemistry, biology and physics. They are geared for people in high school, are fun to read and very informative.
