Obviously you have been mistreated or otherwise have had some undesirable situations with the opposite sex. There are many people all around us that can be classified in that manner(jerks) and all of them are not males. What you need to do is not be so trusting and become a better judge of character. Off time we like someone and fail to see the person for who they really are. Our vision is blurred by our feelings and emotions. This is not meant to demean you but if you keep getting involved with jerks, then you are a jerk for doing so.
One cannot blame others when they constantly make the same mistakes over and over. Remember..."To thine own self be true".

Guys act like jerks because that is what women want. You show me a guy who women say is a jerk and I will show you a guy who has had about 1000 girlfriends. Guys know this and women know it too. Stop acting like it is some big mystery.

Most guys have figured out that if they are nice to women then the women just treat the guy like crap and if they are jerks women treat the guys nice.

Most guys are jerks because they dont know when to grow up and realize that they need to grow up and be more responsible on theyre actions...They dont need to treat girls like they are always second best they should know that women these days are getting stronger and wiser than men..So guys should know when a woman is pissed with them.

Guys aren't jerks, it's the choices of the associations you make. Good decision about good associations provides good results. It's like a woman who was abused, leaves the abuser (male or female), only to end up with another abuser. You have to modify your choices in your associations.

In general, men are not jerks. If jerks are what you mostly meet, be more careful what your looking for.

Actually not all of them are, well most of the time there not, but for the other, well where do I begin? I have noticed that most of them have personal "issues" about themselves and the only way they know how to solve them is to crap on everyone else parade. Other times they actually have a good reason...how has the other person (or you) been treating him. Nine times outta ten I believe that its just the issues. They can't open themselves up to anyone b/c they have to be a "man."

ummm because they were poorly trained by their elders and they are just wired differently than women. Sometimes, though, we misinterpret men to be jerks when we are actually the ones with the problem who are expecting too much from them.
Either laugh at them or kick them in the balls when they are mean.
