Needs are those which fufill the requirements: The basic needs are Food, Cloths, Shelter. and also air and water.
There are some needs which are based on circumustances: If you have to travel 25 miles every day and there is no public conveyance, you need personal conveyance (Vehicle).
Other than these are wants. The wants as long as can be fulfilled within the means, no problem. The problem will be only when there are wants beyond the means available. There are no needs which can not be identified.

I think twerf was right when he said that anything beyond basic food and shelter needs is a want. I think that if you could start over with a small group of people willing to give up "necessaties" and go back to how primative man lived only making things that are absolutly necessary then I think society could survive. Maybe having a nuclear war blast our society back to the stone age isn't necessarily a bad idea. Maybe then we would get it right and avoid some of the wars we have had.

If you want to get real basic about it most everything you have is a wanted thing. Your needs: water, food, warmth and/ or clothing (weather dependant), some kind of shelter, companionship (humans cannot live in isolation), fire. The rest are wants of one or other description. Therefore dont worry, be happy, you have more than you could possibly need and probably more than you want. Have a good day.

A need is somethin u gotta have, or it would be bad for you, but even then it doesnt necessarily mean that we would get all our needs. Like everythin else in lfe, its something you have to fight for. A want, is a wish, somethin you would like to do, becuz its fun, or just becuz u have a desire for it. Personally i think alot of wants, are actual needs, not all of them but most of them. Like for example, goin to party with your friends is not a need, its a want, however if you stay at home your whole life and dont go have any fun, it wont kill you, but people do NEED to have fun to be happy, you will regret it otherwise. I know it sounds kinda confusin lol, but i hope this helps. :)

Most people cannot differenciate between what they need and what they want. They can't tell between necessity from luxury. necessities are vital for us to carry out or lives eg food and water. Luxury is eating 3 pound lobster and drinking soda water.

You know what? I'm not making sense. Maybe because I don't even know what you are asking.

first and foremost, do refrain from writing as so... as a frequent texter, i understand what you've written, but others are at a lost since they're not accustomed it.

to answer your query...

needs and wants may be two different causes but the manner of attaining both needs some justification. not all needs are justified... example, you need an education but because of financial restrain, you're bound to want it rather than need it right? on the other hand, you want to settle down, but the need to finding a suitable mate must first be accomplish.

so basically, it boils down to defining your needs and your wants. all needs (human related) doesn't necessarily fit and should depend on several restrictions or limitations just like wants. there are boundaries to observe to attain your needs, not to mention several voids to be filled. wants are attained thru your own effort. what one wants doesn't necessarily means one needs it, but because of factors affecting ones behavior, one craves to satisfy his want rather than his needs.

needs must be filled-in but wants must be filled-upon. two different arguments, two different meanings. same restrictions, limits and boundaries....

1. need = what is required for your survival and to live, these are basic things which are must for human beings. e.g your need for food water , need for shoes for your kids.

2. now what we want are :

need + things that make you feel good or feel supreme, e.g. i want to be rich i want more friendly people around,

## one thing i guess u left out........
3. Requirments: are the accesries which support you to get your needs fullfilled ,

if we want exactly what we need, then we will never change -
and i think even you want to change we want to diffrent so to feel diffrent , so i hope that what we want is not what we need,

what you want should be diffrent from what you need or we won't develope as human as we had been.

A need is requisite for life. A want is something which is not necessary for life but which augments it's enjoyment. And for the record, I NEED a plasma TV.
