from experience... stay out of it or be subtly cunning in helping out the spouse by going around to see him when she thinks he is with you. if you feel that bad by remaining silent and betraying a friend then where is the wrong in in betraying the cheat by planting a seed of suspicion in the mind of the only victim. you can always say sorry to him later for accidently dropping him in the proverbial brown stuff and tell him he has been a right c*** and help him change his ways if the said couple do still want to be together.
yet another cunning plan for the greater good

Not a chance mate, when she finds out and they split up, you want to keep HIM as a friend not HER. Unles you fancy her of course? Nobody likes the bringer of bad news.
SO don't show your "caring side", whatever you do you can not win in a situation like this. Are you sure you're not just jealous beciuse he's geting a bit on the side?
I can't put it any plainer than the following;-
NEVER, EVER SHOP YOUR MATES.

Have a serious talk with him first & explain that you dont agree with his cheating habits because of your relationship with his spouse. All I would do is advise him & hope that he respects that & tries to change. Otherwise he cant be much of a best friend anyway.

If your friends with both I'd have a quiet word with the cheater and threaten to tell the other what was going on if he didn't either stop or confess.
It's hard because if your friend ever finds out you knew they're going to be angry with you for not telling them.

I have also been there, just be careful, I knew my friend was cheating on wife and I never said anything as I didn't want to get involved. When she found out about him, she also found out I knew, we have not spoken in years as she said as a friend I should have told her and she could never forgive me, its a tricky one. Good luck!

This is a lose lose situation. It happened to me once. Lost both as friends! Keep your mouth shut and just stand out of the way when the sh*t hits the fan.

If they told you this, they trust you. Because you are best mates. I would not rat on a mate.

no
if you rat on a best mate, then you are NOT a best mate
if the situation arises, then you should talk to your best mate, and if anyone rats on them, it should be THEM

It all depends on just how good friends you all are, you can just keep quiet but would you also be persecuted for knowing about it and not saying anythig???? somebody's going to get hurt eventually.......

leave it alone, it's not your place. the only thing I can tell you is talk to your best mate, try to make him see how bad that is.
