Well....the only way to solve the KASHMIR Issue would be to follow the UN resolution on Kashmir OR WAR!.

RESOLUTION ON ASSURANCES ADOPTED BY U.N. COMMISSION FOR INDIA AND PAKISTAN(UNCIP) 1948
1. Responsibility for the security of J&K rests with Government of India.
2. The sovereignty of the J&K Government over the entire territory of the State shall not be brought under question.
3. There shall be no recognition of the so-called Azad (Free) Kashmir Government.
4. The territory occupied by Pakistan shall not be consolidated to the disadvantage of the State of J&K.
5. The administration of the evacuated areas in the North shall revert to the Government of J&K and its defence to the Government of India, who will, if necessary, maintain garrison for preventing the incursion oftribesmen and for guarding main trade routes.
6. Pakistan shall be excluded from all affairs of J&K in particular in the plebiscite, of one should be held.
7. If a plebiscite is found to be impossible for technical or practical reasons, the Commission will consider other methods of determining fair and equitable conditions for ensuring a free expression of people’s will.
8. Plebescite proposal shall not be binding upon India if Pakistan does not implement Part I and II of the resolution of 13th August, 1948. (The resolution had called upon Pakistan to withdraw troops from occupied Kashmir).

Kashmir issue should be solved by their own.Pakistan and India should sit together as a good neighbour supervising them to make a new state of Kashmir if they want to..If the majority of its people wanting a merge with Pakistan ,India should let them do But if the majority of its people will join India,Pakistan should let them also. The people of Kashmir should held a referendum for deciding their own future. It is a rule in democracy. We can not do a force in this sensitive issue.UNO can give its assistance for this solution.

When Jinah founded Pakistan, he created it as a secular country. If one could get separation of church and state instituted, there would be a chance of peace. Of course there is more at play than religion, but until that is solved, I doubt there will be a chance. Even if you created a separate Kashmir nation, and it was secular, the Muslims and most likely the Hindus would continue to claim the land for their own and there would be an underground insurgency operating using terrorist tactics. Sound familiar?

Oh.. the other chance is turning the clock back to 1947 and having the British take their time drawing the boundary lines and figuring out how to avoid millions of bloody deaths due to the way their pull out was executed.

Kashmir residents should be allowed to vote into what country should they belong. This will end the issue.
