I think John Lennon said it best. And I apply this quote to my life. I can't help but be curious and take a philosophial and/or scientific, logical reasoning type approach to everything I come across. I'm a man who loves his mathematics. I want to understand everything. And what I've found is that the more things I expose and uncover for myself as finite truths that I am content with, the more questions and unanswered things get revealed as a result.
And what's the deal with contradictions? Like how can quantum theory and the theory of relativity both be proven right when they contradict one another? I give up on logic, because even logic contradicts itself. I'm only going to be alive for 100 years (MAX) probably closer to 60, so I'm going to stop trying to figure stuff out. I feel like I wasted my first 20 years. I suggest everyone else does the same. I'm at my ropes end and my life needs to find a new direction. Has anyone else experienced this point in their life? Is it a phase?

this only signifies that john lennon has attained wisdom. his philosophical outlook at life dramatically evolve around the reason of what was life all about. the trends created by technology, the principle born from several philosophical views, the observance of a finite definition of what must be and what should have... that is wisdom...
and yes, at one time or another, one goes thru this phase in life. one questions the reality or factual realization of life thereof. the why's of life... the how's, who's, when's, etc.... and in turn, we gain wisdom from it. researching the reason for pure logic... searching our instincts, defining our roles, our purposes...
right now, am still trying to attain such wisdom... the philosophical approach to reasoning. and i hope i may be able to attain it before my demise. else, i'm contented with what i achieve...

Yes, you're opening your mind to the endless possibilities. Perhaps your mathematical genius could unravel this great mystery. There is a numerical code found throughout the Qur'an, and it's purpose has yet to be identified. Their entire language is mathematically aligned with this. There is much in there that has only come to light thru the invention and use of computers and calculators.

Ii also wonder whether it is a phase bcs i keep experiencing the same feeling for 10 years now (since i strarted reading on philosophy) and the more i dive deep, the more i feel lost and confused but i still cannot accept that ignorance is a bliss, bcs no matter how complicated life becomes in the middle of endless possibilities, it still feels good to not to just observe the world but to try to understand it. by the way. 90% of my philisophy teachers in university had a BA degree in mathematics and they all said that math brought them closer to philosophy so i think you are on the right track :)

I'm with the majority: "I COULDN'T..." The other thing that pisses me off is when kids say, "I could OF..." or "I should OF..." or "I would OF..." it's supposed to be, "Would've" as in "Would HAVE", etc.

That's a very healthy response to understanding that there are very few absolutes. Live according to your own moral compass & conscience, and you did not worry about external condratictions.
