Yeah, you are a bit overweight; try exercizing at least three times a week for thirty minutes, maybe even at Curves or something. I know this stuff, because my stats are roughly the same, even if I am older than you, and so far, Curves has been the best solution for me. However, 157 for your height isn't awful, it's only about thirteen pounds over what you should be, so lose it now while it's still easy, and try not to stress about it. Just remember that women were born to be soft creatures, not bony ones whose bodies make them look like little boys.
Oh, and Linda? Different body types require different weights, and a good example is myself, because when I weighed 135, I looked like I was on the verge of some serious eating disorders. 145 should be fine for the majority of body types at 5'7".

I am sorry to say, but yes, you may be. I feel bad, too. Don't worry. When I was 12, I am sixteen and i lost some weight, i was 137 lbs, and 5'2. Your BMI is 24.586, and that is over what the average 13 year old is, even at your height

If you're overweight, I'm a tub-a-lard.
My sister is 5'9 and she weighs around 180, and she looks very slim. But she is around 6 years older than you.
You probably have curves, and are self concious because all the other girls your age don't. Don't worry about it. Girls with curves are often more attractive [if it's based solely on looks].
In answer, you're basically average weight for your height.
*By human standards - if you're going for supermodel, the whole female population needs to drop between 10 and 60lbs.

Your BMI is 24.6, which is within the healthy BMI range for an adult. As you are only 13, you are what is considered 'at risk of becoming overweight', so I would suggest that you review your diet, make sure you are eating less junk food, more fresh fruit and vegetables, less bad carbs and more lean meat. Also be sure to get plenty of regular exercise. HTH : )

Yes, you are a little bit overweight. You should be at about 120-125 lb - 135 lb at the most. Some exercise and cutting down on calories will help you out.

Probably so, but don't let it get you down. We all have problems, and it is sad that some people won;t accept others for who they are on the inside. The important thing is to be a good person and form valuable friendships with people who accept you.
