I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years and I have always worked hard. By worked hard I mean, I usually hold two jobs and go to school full time. I have to in order to make my living. I dont live with my boyfriend. And I feel that he takes advantage of my situation. For instance, he has a regular M-F job from 9-3. He makes good money. Anyway when I am working, I feel that he takes advantage and he does whatever he wants. I am not talking about going out with other girls but he goes out with his friends and does many adventurous things throughout the weekend. Whenever I am actually not working he wants to spend all of his time with me, which is fine but I also want to rest, study and also go out with my girlfriends. He is 9 yrs older than me and it is ok for him to go out with his friends , but when I want to go out with mine, it becomes a huge problem for him. And like I said I am very very passive with his hanging out. What should I do? I dont think its fair. Am I wrong??

I must also add that he is very jealous of me, maybe because I am younger but we have been together for 5 years. Isnt this time enough for him to trust me and any situation that I place myself into???

I think you need to discuss this with him...and decide on how much time to spend together, having time apart, etc. This is very important for couples to agree on because it carries into marriage. The situation doesn't sound fair the way you are describing it. You may even want to print out your question and ask what he thinks of it.

you shouldn't, some men are adventurous... on the other way around, i don't think a man worries if his girlfriend went on long trip shopping with her female friends.
