Is it true that when we look at the mirror we are not seeing the real look of us, but the opposite?

We should need another mirror behind us to see the reflexion without being opposited? If you have never done it you will never know how you look like but on TV or picture, never on a mirror. Is that true?

Yes. In the mirror you see your reverse image. Raise your right hand and you see your left hand rise in the mirror.

Some believe that seeing this reverse image causes people to also see the reverse image in themselves. When looking in the mirror they see a bad person instead of the good person they are, or, vice-versa. Have you ever heard women say that when they see themselves in the mirror the see their, so called, defects instead of what are their positive attributes.

Is this caused by seeing our reverse image or, in our minds due to other circumstances?

Yes. The mirror image is inverted. That is why police cars and ambulances have text written the opposite way so that you can read them. If you look in the mirror, your left hand is its right hand. Try writting on a piece of paper and read it thru the mirror!

Hold up a book with words on it, and look at the words in the mirror. You'll notice that the words are backwards.

Same thing happens with everything in a mirror, including your face.

It's the real look of you, alright, it's just reversed - your left is on your right side, and your right side is on your left side.
