Bush said in reference to the US constitution "it's just a god dam piece of paper". Now the camp in Cuba the move to protect CIA and other military personal guilty of crimes like torture or abuse so as to keep them out of the media - That should be a wake up call should it not?
Is George not in a fight with the courts over breaching and or over stepping his powers? Isn't it then safe to say he is guilty of preverting democracy ?

How can you say or trust he will not take your rights away? He apparently has no respect for the constitution - how far can the rest of the law be ?
Does George scare you ? Shouldn't he?

No credible news source has printed this.

Do you have the audio or video of this? Just more TYPICAL liberal propaganda.

If you had have taken two seconds of your time to google search the quote instead of reading the Maifesto of Bush's come back lines you;d have had an answer to the quote - but you aren't allowed to read things that aren't george approved are you?

Good thing you know your gender (referece to his last question) congadulations on that.

He scares me, but our lame Congress and Senate that don't ever challenge the president on these matters scare me even more.

We've already lost some of our rights to the patriot act, however most of us are not affected. I could only imagine though what it would be like to be a young muslim and own a licensed gun or train for a pilot's license.

The only fear is, which I can see where your question is leading to, is that if politicians can change one thing, then another, and then disregard the constitution (funny they can't do that when it comes to gay marriage), then yes, we may have to fear liglislation and prsidential acts going down a very tense path.

Call me biased (yes there are biased moderates), but I do think we need a bit more balance in Washington. Most of the congressmen are way too far fromthe center of the spectrum, and that is especially not good when one party is dominating the other, especiall when it's going on in both of ther other two branches. I mean, checks and balances are supposed to be balanced.

Go bipartisans and coalitions!

Yes it is frightening. Perverting Democracy? Well, the fact that we are supposed to be living in a Republic that has changed to a socialist democracy scares me a bit. But I am willing to fight to make it right. The US Constitution guarentees A REPUBLICAN form of government, not to be confused with the republican party which has hijacked our Liberty. Consider this: "When the governments boot is on your throat, whether it is a left boot or a right boot is of no consequence." - Gary Lloyd

George scares the **** outta me!!! I'll be totally amazed if we don't get 5 times more F'd up as a country by the time he is out of office.

The sad part is...we only get to vote for who they choose to put on the ballet, so really, we're choosing from their choices.

Yes, Bush scares me, but what can we do? Impeachment is not an option, because the congress isn't going to listen to the people; most of them are republican! It seems like all 3 branches of the government are republican. If we wanted to do anything, our only hope is to revolt.

I really question that so called quote of yours - from where did you get it ? Was it "The Daily Show"? One judge's decision against Gitmo is just that. Experts agree that her decision will be overturned upon appeal. What are you talking about when you refer to "crimes of torture and abuse"? These techniques are necessary to gather information to protect our country. What kind of a dummy are you? He is not guilty of perverting democracy - he is guilty of trying to protect the security of this nation. Please get as life and get it soon.

He will be gone. At least some of his damage can be reversed, but probably not the destruction of the dollar, the destruction of Iraq, the destruction of the reputation and neutrality of the US Supreme Court, and the destruction of the US middle class.

I don't like Bush, but in all fairness, I highly doubt that he actually said that. What's your source?

Added: Sounds to me like a bunch of "he said, she said". You know how many people believe that Gore said he invented the internet, during the 2000 election?

Did he really say that? That's pretty bad, I really am disappointed by him. He seemed like an alright guy at first, but he has just made blunder after blunder. It's really a sad commentary on our society as a whole.
