Any suggestions on this. My dog only sleeps in my bedroom, But he gets pissed if anyone walks down the street and then begs to get out to go bark at front door. Barking dont bother me, But does anyone think a doggie door is too much?

I personally don't like my dog getting up and off my bed during the night. She too would bark if she heard someone walking outside of my home at night. I keep her up on my bed until the early morning, when I let her down so she can go outside throught the doggie door that is in the laundryroom door leading out to the garage. My dog is litterbox trained. Is there a reason you can't keep train her to stay on the bed until you take her down? Get a doggie door leading to outside or to the garage, but I wouldn't want a doggie door on my bedroom door.

I recently moved from a house with a large yard to a small condo with a very small patio. I put a doggie door in my bedroom sliding door about 9 months ago and it works wonderfully! I also got aroll of the fake grass and cut up little rugs that I can wash w/hose and throw out as often as I want. My dog does her business on these rugs...since I work, this is a great alternative.
Go for it, it has given me such peace of mind, especially if I do not come home until late.

I think the doggie door is a bit much. I would think it might be better to teach the dog not to bark.

Yes, get a doggy door, but make it so you can close him out when you are "getting busy" or otherwise engaged in an activity that you don't want to be interrupted.

Why can't you leave your bedroom door open?

it's fine as long as you don't mind having less privacy.
