I´m aware of that, what kind of moron would ask such a question thinking that the simpsons are real?
I am a very big fan of that sitcom myself, I just wanted to offer this forum users the chance of expressing themself if they like the Simpsons as much as I do, and I always find hilarious the way Mat Groening compares the Flanders to the Simpsons in terms of religion.
If you don´t find it amusing then answer somebody else's question.

Okay this is so not the direct answer to your question, BUT it does concern Ned Flanders. It's an interesting look at how some christians see him today.[ see link below]

And I'll go with the fact that the religon is constantly changing, as we never know what state Springfield is...we may never really know what religon they subscribe to.

Okely dokely- hope this link proves interesting....

I am the last person that should address anything that has to do religion the ever popular man that sits in the clouds who's name I shall not utter or any aspect of the bible. I fell from grace a long time ago, but the Simpsons and Flanders both attend the same church. Homer has been known for his rants against the heavenly one while Flanders and his brainwashed children are so goodie goodie they even have board games that are bible based. T
o me it is a refelection of religion today. There are those in church that walk the walk, and those that talk the talk, and then there are those that expect others to walk and talk for them. You have some that live the bible and know it and then there are those that are christian or anything else when the want to use their so called faith to justify what is wrong in their eyes.
The Flanders are to me a laughing joke, while the Simpsons to me are more real in this aspect. Carve your own path to heaven if you will who says it wrong to use a little fire on the way to do it if you need to.

I believe they are the same religion - they go to the same church and Flanders is always pestering the Reverand Lovejoy ...and Homer ...sometimes at the same time. I am not 100% positive as to the religion, but i *think* I remember hearing Flanders say that they're Protestant.

"Catch me, Lord, catch me" -Rod Flanders

LOL!!! I just read the article that's linked below and it actually mentions the episode where Rod cries out the "Catch me, Lord, catch me" I had to cut and paste it for you:

"The young Flanders boys are total innocents; they believe they are getting closer to God when they jump on the Simpsons' trampoline,..."

They go the the same church, and I can't remember if I seen them specify what sec their all from. I do know that the Simpsons aren't as faithful as the Flanders though.

Not sure what kind of Christianity, but yes they are both the same....

Its just that the Flanderersers (ha ha) are FULL ON strict about it, and the Simpsons arent.

It seems that everyone in town goes to their church. I don't think it has ever been said. I think it is call The First Church of Springfield. Man, I have too much time on my hands.

It's so inconsistent through the episodes that it's really hard to tell.

uh, hello, it's a TOON, and the writer is mocking Christianity as he does everything else that he puts in there. It's not a realistic portrayal.
