The weather in Singapore is about the same throughout the year except for the slightly heavier rainfall in december. So you can visit Singapore anytime of the year.
During Christmas festivities the main street in Singapore is lit up with colourful light and it is a sight to behold.
You can also visit during the Chinese New Year period,Hindu Deepavali period or the Malay Hari Raya period when there are also festivities and light ups. Another good time to visit will be during the National Day period in August. Dont miss the Hindu Thaipusam festival where the devoties spike their bodies with skewers and hooks.
There are many intereting places to visit depending on your interests.
You can see our rich cultural heritage by visiting the cultural enclaves of the different races i.e. Indians-little India,Malays-Geylang,Chinese-Chinatown,Arabs-Arab street,Jews-synagogues etc and also the British colonial past-supreme court bulding, vitoria theater, memorials,Raffles Hotel, Fullerton Hotel,CHIJMES,National Museum etc.

Underwater World
Carlsberg Sky Tower
The Luge
Wax Museum
3) Chinatown
4) Little India
5) Wild Wild Wet (Singapore's largest water theme park)
6) Orchard Road (shoppping)
7) East Coast park
8) Kallang River (on Sats to try dragon-boating)
9) Jurong Bird Park

12) Hawker centres around the island
To get a taste of local food. try to avoid tourist spots as they do charge a slightly higher price.

Singapore's worth visiting throughout the year....depends on what kind of tourist you are. If you here to explore cultures, then August is a good time when the Chinese celebrate the Hungry Ghost Festival.

If you are a shopper, go to Singapore during their annual July Great Singapore Sale.

If you are here to gamble..don't go till their casino opens in 2007 or 2008. But you could try going to the Kranji Turf Club.

If you are here for sightseeing...you may go anytime throughout the year....but the Christmas lighting in December's quite nice.

Singapore's really tourist-friendly. No theft or thugs, streets are amazingly clean, everyone speaks English, public transport's wonderful and cheap, food's a tad too spicy though and the shopping's comparable to any western country.

Don't go to Singapore during the month of September though...security will be quite tight. You'll have a hard time getting through the immigration checkpoint.

You can visit Singapore anytime.
For places to visit, suggest you take a free copy of the tourist information magazine at point of arrival, it tells you what is happening during that week you visit

Favorite places, well, there are plenty of it.

You can visit there anytime as people mood and weather in Singapore never change. If you are American or European, you will be welcome and accompanied by majority of people. If you have Asian or middleeastern look, then you have to find your own way.

All places here are nice, clean. Zoo is good and so is the science centre. Libraries are worth to visit.

PS: Don't forget to bring your umbrella! :-)
