Probably can't. But you could reinstall the operating system and set a new password. You can generally do this by booting from an install CD or DVD.

You will need to either reinstall Windows or use hacking tools.

Edit: Actually, try restarting and going into Safe Mode. Login as "Administrator" without a password. You should get in and be able to reset the password.

Which mode it was asking? Windows mode or DOS mode? If it was asking when you turn-on computer it means it is in DOS mode. When you turn-on computer press Ctrl+Alt+Del kyes at a time while BIOS running. BIOS Setup opens > Go at User Password Setup through Arrow key -> Hit Enter key two times at a time then password will be disabled. Then save and restart the computer. You will be lucky. Don't. Where did you find it? Chances are somebody lost it, no? How about checking the papers or posting a notice somewhere that you've found it. Image if you lost you laptop and you were a student working on your PhD? It would awful.

Computer, good. Lucky to be you. ok moving on. reinstalling windows like others said was good. but try to take out the motherboard and give it to any profession, let them use the motherboard to umm.... break the code. maybe A-P-P-L-E, apple just like in the Da Vinci Code.

Did you find it in someone's house?

There's a password in the BIOS that each manufacturer has set. Call them up and they'll tell you how to reset it.
