Tough question!

Anyone younger than 25 will easily say "Yes" and for good reason. L.T. has already set many rushing, receiving and all-purpose yards marks -- and this is only his 5th season in the NFL.

However, San Diego has many great players in the Hall of Fame. Lance Alworth was among the top 3 greatest receivers in the old American Football League. Dan Fouts was a prolific QB. Kellen Winslow set the standard for the modern tight-end.

On defense -- Junior Seau is an awesome force, who ranks among the greatest linebackers in NFL history.

The greatest ever? Man, that's always a tough call. Definitely he has ALREADY become one of the greatest.

He will be the greatest SD Charger Running Back. But the greatest ever will be Shawn Merriman. He has the chance to be greater than the other LT. If he can do that... that means he would be the best LB of all time.

Don't get me wrong. Tomlinson is very special to Charger history and fans, both he and Merriman have the potential to be the best ever in their postions. I don't even think Charger fans realize what they are seeing and how fortunate they are right now.

Yea I don't know about "Greatest Ever", mainly because I don't really follow the Charger's history...Who has been their greatest RB yet? He's a damn good running back though, I like to watch him play.

Um...I don't know Charger's history...but he'll go down as one of the better running backs in NFL history...Especially if he sticks around for a while...wouldn't hurt to have a 2000 yard season. I know the guy can do it...he just needs to opportunities...I'd like to see him do it of all the RBs in the league right now...other they my team's RB DeShaun Foster or DeAngelo Williams...but other than them...LT's the man.

uh, no....dan fouts will own this distinction, unto eternity for a number of reasons. the era that he played, the way he helped shape pro football into a passing phenomena vs the ground and pound style, the receivers he played with are arguably the best trio in NFL history, and his prolific beard will always be remembered by charger fans everywhere.....go #14.......oh yeah, did i mention BAMBI? #19.........Lance Alworth
