Pluto is a planet, they save complicated us telling us that it is not.inspite of the undeniable fact that it easily is. Pluto hasn't long previous away; it continues to be there. people who think of fondly of it may nonetheless evaluate it as they consistently have. No harm executed. it truly is been a count of embarrassment that we have got not had a solid and coherent definition of 'planet', and the newly progressed definition isn't without its critics. however the definition does make experience. in accordance to it, Pluto is no longer a substantial planet. it truly is a dwarf or minor planet. in accordance to the present definition, and planet might desire to orbit a action picture star or the remnant of a action picture star; have sufficient mass so as that its gravity has formed it right into a sphere-like shape, yet no longer sufficient mass to set off inner thermonuclear fusion; have cleared its community of asteroids and different smaller products. Pluto's pretty eccentric orbit brings it into the Kuiper Belt, a great disc of thousands and thousands of asteroids, the place it spends the super majority of its time in its orbit around the sunlight. Pluto has no longer cleared this region of planetary 'opposition', and for this reason isn't lined as a substantial planet.

Look the little planet - pluto was a planet for 76 years .But as defination of the word "planet" changed no. of planets also changed and science can never stop growing &changing , so we must also adapt to the new change. And this change is also +ve as it defines the term planet more accurately.

Reason: Change in defination of term "PLANET" caused Pluto to exit our planetary system. Its orbit also was not like of the rest planets.

scientists messed up alot of years ago. pluto never was a planet because other things are in the same orbit around the sun as it and it does not have a strong enough astro belt. basically there just trying to confuse the world

Scientists! They always disagree... Now the guys wo didn't want Pluto to be called a planet in the first place, won the popularity vote... :) Kinda like government these days... Majority rules, doesn't mean they're the smartest... or not... they are just more than enough... haha!

Because there are 48 PLANETS with almost same size of Pluto in the KUIPER BELT. So they just don't want to make them as planet as it will become messed-up.. so they just decided to remove Pluto status to dwarf planet.

But, they've opened a can of very angry worms that will come back to haunt them!

The battle for Pluto isn't over yet. The Lord of the Underworld has friends in very high places.

Astronomers and scientists have reclassified what attributes constitutes planets. They've deemed Pluto to be too small, too distant and it doesn't seem to support its own orbital and gravitational properties as the other 8.
