The exact time of light travel depends from
the configuration of planets, but the time is supposed to be always about
5 hours. If the Earth and Pluto are on opposite sides of the sun, it will be
somewhat longer; if the two planets are on the same side it will be a few
minutes shorter. In 30 minutes, light could travel somewhere close to asteroid
belt.

Pluto is a little less than 30 AU away from the Sun (one AU is the distance between Earth and Sun)

Sun's light takes 8 minutes to reach Earth. So doing the math it takes about 240 minutes for Sun's light to reach Pluto. Minus 8 minutes for the time taken for light to reach from Earth to Pluto.

About 5 hours 20 minutes. Note that this time will vary somewhat, depending on where Pluto is in its orbit. If you look at the 1st link below, it gives the time to all the other planets except Pluto. Time to Neptune is given as 4 hours.

If you want to calculate the average time at the speed of light to Pluto, then click on the 2nd link below. It gives the average distance to Pluto as 39.5 AU (An AU or astronomical Unit is the average distance from the Sun to Earth). Now light takes about 8 minutes and 20 seconds to get to Earth, so time from Sun to Pluto at speed of light is 39.5 x 8.33 minutes or 4.48 hours. Add or subtract 8.33 minutes to get time to Pluto from Earth gives about 5 hours 20 mins or 5 hours 36 minutes depending on whether the Earth and Pluto are on the same or opposite sides of the Sun.

Pluto's orbit is highly elliptical so the time varies considerably depending on its position. (It also varies, by up to 16 minutes, depending on earth's position.) It can be from about 240 to 320 minutes.

on average it is 38.4 au 1 au takes light 8 min to travel 38.4 x 8 is 307 307 divided by 60 is is 5.12 so it would reach its destination in approx 5 hrs 15 minutes

you can try to measure it by yourrself, the steps are:
1. get a really big flashlight and a really big telescope and a watch
2.turn the light on then look in the telescope
3.time it using the stopwatch when you see the flashlight on the moon.

Nobody went there, and i don't believe those freak scientist found the distance just using the RED SHIFT and BRIGHT measurement. Coz that is just a theory dude. Should i believe a theory? Maybe not.

did you all know that pluto is not considered part of our solar system anymore...it's called a dwarf planet...just like that IT'S OUT!
