i think its normal to every relationship to be attacted and repelling on different occassions. and especially with mothers and daughters who carry on their lives at different levels, especially with you as a teen-ager trying to live independently from your parents clouts. just don't push yourself too hard against her, as you know, moms, like me, would wish only the best for their children. anyway, moms know when to stop if they feel they are already barging in to their child's privacy, we respect them too, so give your mom the respect she deserves, and once in a while, express your love, so that in times when you feel resentment towards her, that's the only thing that glues the affection back.

This is sooooooooooooooooooooo normal. I am 22 and still feel that way about my mom sometimes. I think this is a normal part of all relationships.....As I feel it for my husband, sister, best friend, dad, etc. Funny how life happens huh.

yes ofcourse it is when i was growing up and living with my mum i felt the same way and we always fought. but when she fell sick with a brain tumour we tried rally hard to get along and lucky for me we got along and fixed our relationship in time because she died last year. dont worry about the feelings you may sometimes have justmake sure u tell her that u love her and you respect her as your mother she only wants whats best for you, and she will ALWAYS be there for you when u need help no matter what!..

It is normal...even in adulthood to have some feelings of resentment towards a parent for certain things. It does not mean that you don't love her, but that you don't like what she is doing sometimes. It is the same way with parents towards their kids. We might not like everything that our kids do, but that does not mean that we don't love them.
