I gotta friend. She came up to visit me where I live. She didn't tip for any of her drinks and she's all making a scene because the cocktail server was ignoring her. I told her look I am a cocktail server and she aint gonna take care of you unless you take care of her. I tip 5 dollars a drink and My sh*t is always hooked up triple shot and I'm getting one every five minutes. She's like I aint gotta tip I'm putting my money in the machine and I need free drink okay? I'm like sure I'll tip for you okay don't trip. The next week she went to the Dennys my sister works at. Her and her friends had a 120 dollar bill and they left 28 cent tip. my sister followed her outside and said don't come back here no one will serve you and gave her the change back. Keep in mind that had nothing to do with me. I live 3 hours away. But now my friend won't talk to me any more after those two incedents. Who's in the wrong here?

Your friend is definately in the wrong for not tipping. I was a bartender for 11 yrs...we live on tips and those that didn't would have coughed up dusty bunnies before I served them again. The Denny's bill was just unreal though. It sounds as though this girl is unappreciative, rude and lacks alot of character. Don't worry about being her friend. Based on her selfishness, it sounds as though she only kept the friendship until it no longer suited her needs. I know it will hurt, but people change over time and a friend you knew from eons ago, isn't exactly the same person she is today.
Take the high road. Extend the invitation to work through things. If she responds and aplogizes, then maybe there's a chance to work it out. If she gets defensive and blames it on you, then it may just be time to sever ties.

I can promise you that there are better people who want to be your friend. A person's character is reflected in the little things, like kindness and in this case- tipping. You know she's in the wrong and I wouldn't blame you if you distanced yourself from someone who treats others so poorly. Good luck-

Peace

she is in the wrong wanting somethin for free. my mom worked at dennys for like 4 years a while ago she left. she always tips good because she knows how it is just like you. thats how they make their money and if she doesnt realize that then she isnt gonna get good service when she doesnt wanna be nice and tip her. anyways if she doesnt wanna talk to u then thats her problem.lol

Wow, I wouldn't even call her my 'friend' after doing that.

She is a self serving jerk by the behavior you've described.

I would really recommend cutting her loose.....doesn't sound like someone who thinks of anyone but herself, therefore not a good candidate to really be a 'friend'.

Good luck...

She and her friends are big time jerks. Get away from people like that, they can not do anything for you except to drag you down to their level. Good Luck..
