I live in a house now, but for years I lived in apartments.
Apartments stink. How about living in a really nice apartment with hard wood floors and fireplaces. Sure. But then you have some elephant clomping around above you. What a pain in the a**!

A house because you have a yard and a porch to go out on. Plus you more freedom to do what you want to do when you live in a house.
