I am 11 and a half weeks pregnant. I haven't gained any weight, I have actually lost, a couple of pounds. Is this normal?

It's absolutely normal to lose a little weight (like a couple of pounds) in your first trimester. Many women do not gain much until the second half of pregnancy. Our bodies all respond to pregnancy differently. Your body will do what it needs to to grow that baby - just try to take good care of yourself.

This is totally normal if you are having morning sickness. I am 10 and a half weeks and I am going through the same thing you are. The best thing for you to do is to keep taking your prenatal vitamins, make sure you eat right and don't skip meals. If you are having morning sickness lord help you. My doctor said the morning sickness is why I haven't gained weight. It is OK as long as you start to put on weight after the morning sickness goes away. GOOD LUCK.

I lost 15lbs in the first 4 months of being pregnant, my doctor was starting to get concerned, but then I started to gain. I have a very healthy 7 month old now.

I lost weight almost the whole time I was pregnant. Some people do but most lose only at the beginning of the their pregnancy if at all. Mention your concern at your next doctor's visit. Remember, your doctor is their for any concern you may have. It is always better to ask than to worry yourself needlessly. Good luck and congratulations!!!! :)

I lost a few pounds in early pregnancy as well. My doctor said it was okay because it was early pregnancy, and he also said that if it continued then it would be a problem. So don't panic yet, if you aren't eating, and continue losing weight then you really need to consult your doctor. Good luck!

it's normal to lose at first but I'll warn you ,if you start to crave a lot of cabbage you must eat plenty of fish or you could end up with a lot of thyroid problems also if your doctor is stupid he will tell you to not take pre-natal vitamins .my son was born with deteriorating spine disease because of that and if you are not allergic to milk drink lots of it and if one place refuses to give you wic and you need it go to the next town to ask

Yes. As long as your baby is growing the way it should losing weight will not hurt them as long as you are eating healthy. Just keep taking your vitamins.
