Los Angeles and make sure u make friends and start getting some connections. Also take a couple acting classes and if you're really dedicated dont let any rejection stop you. GOOD LUCK!!!!

You home buy yourself. Starting right off the bat by using whatever time you spend watching movies, plays, and TV as an example of acting. Try viewing 2 or 3 movies with the same actress in very different roles. Note how she masters the part in speech, body movements and emotional reactions. Try speaking the same lines in the same way. When you speak the lines you must do so in a louder voice than your normal volume.
I would try to see if you can get hired for being a person in the background. It will get your foot in the door and before reject , keep in mind those people in background shot ofter have to do some acting (pretending to work, having a talk with a friend, reading, playing cards...etc).
Live theater can be a huge mistake if you have never be in front of such a large crowd before. Background parts gently lets you get use to be watched. And that goes a long way toward keep yourself on tract to your dream.

L.A. is definitely the place to be. Hollywood is "where it's at" however it is expensive. If you gonna make the move, be ready to work quite a few crappy jobs all at once. also, try to find a place to live on line before you go. Be careful and carry pepper spray. Take a few self defense classes and you'll do fine!

School plays and community theater. That is a tough field and very hard to get into. You have to KNOW the right people and it takes years of experience. Start with the school plays and community theater. Perfect your craft and know it well.

Pack up a life's saving's worth of $$$$ and pass the payola to one of those "acting schools", seeking a hook up. Then, from there--put out the best acting audition you can summon.....and good luck to you.

if your going for motion pictures california but if your going for Plays new york so you pick then go for it
