I thought there should be a lifetime achievement award for comedy named after the late Johnny Carson...

What would you have added to the programming and what did you think of Conan O'Brien as the host... and the recipients of the awards ?

I really don't care for Conan O'Brien, I think Ellen DeGeneres does a much better job, and what was up with that big tuft of hair on his head? BUT I totally agree about Johnny Carson, he is a television icon, and deserves that honor...I did think the Aaron Spelling Memorial was well done, especially bringing Charlie's Angels back together...Jaclyn Smith is a timeless beauty, and that's without the plastic surgery the other two have had done!

Wow. Well, for me, Best Drama would be Grey's Anatomy and the Best Comedy would be My Name Is Earl. But within the actual emmy nominations - I think they got some stuff kind of wrong. From the untalented nominees in Male/Drama, Kiefer Sutherland was the obvious pick and Female/Drama for me would also be Mariska Hargitay (although one-woman show Commander In Chief Geena Davis was a top contender. Supporting male, I would have to say William Shatner as he always gives very characterised performances on Boston Legal but of course, 24 has to win something else other than Best Drama, right? Supporting female should have been Sandrah Oh without question or anyone else in that category for that matter but underdog Blythe Danner got a worthy Emmy which I think she just pulled off - extremely luckily.
As for comedy, it would have to be The Office or Scrubs as they are funny and get ratings unlike the other shows (good nonetheless). Male/Comedy went to the right person - Carrell is the funny man in The Office but Shalhoub really pulls Monk off its feet in the show. Female/Comedy should have ended up in the hands of Jane Kaczmarek or Debra Messing as they are the cast members of their respective shows who light up their series. Supporting male was a good pick but Sean Hayes also would have been a worthy winner. Supporting actress however was done well and went to the right person - I can't say much more about that category.
Overall though, many shows have been left out, as well as nominees. Prison Break, Boston Legal, CSI: Miami, Lost, Desperate Housewives, My Name Is Earl, James Spader, Hugh Laurie, the entire cast of Grey's Anatomy. What about yourself? Sorry if my answer is long but you did ask for opinions.
