You can go to "options" "general", and if you scroll down it will ask how many to show in window. Select "all". then click on the "select all" button and press "delete."

Good Luck

p.s. I would set the security higher so they would go into the junk mail and yahoo will automatically delete them after a week. That way you can check once in awhile and make sure nothing good went in there. But you can select "empty" junk mail and you can get rid of them all right away.

I believe the most that can be shown on a page at once is 200, if it's not already set to this you can click on Options then Display Settings and set it to show 200 emails per page. The best you can do is click select all on each page and delete 200 at a time.

If some are in your Spam folder that has a link beside it along the left had side of the screen to Empty all.

Good luck.

U cant do this with one click only. Nevertheless u can reduce the workload this way. Presently ur email page shows 25 messages per page. Click on options on ur email page. Select general preferences. On the next page u will find 25 written in the box in front of email per page. Click on the arrow of this box. Here u hv the option of maximum 200 click that and save it. Come back on ur email Page. Now it will show 200 msgs per page. Now check the sender's box and click delete. This way u can reduce ur workload and this is maximum u can do with the present options being provided by yahoo. It will solve ur problem to a great extent.

No easy way out, especially if you think you've got important mail too! On the other hand, you haven't checked your email in a while (hence the 4K+ emails), just darn delete all of them like Phy333 suggested, or if you think you have important mail (as Jack O stated), then the "as safe as safe can get" way would be to sort them by Sender, atleast that you'd have a visual cue on the email address and pretty much delete them page by page...

Good Luck!
