They may not be mainstream - but you don't find a lot of substance in mainstream or pop music. Great songs - all!
(by the way - leaving on a jet plane is done by peter, paul and mary"

The The "Love is Stronger than Death"
Tracy Chapman "All that you have is your soul"
Nina Simone "I want a little sugar in my bowl"
Queen "Somebody to Love"
Nick Lowe (Afghan Wigs do it too - I like Nick's better) "True love travels down a gravel road"
Billie Holiday "Strange Fruit"
Neil Young "Down by the River" (little angry)
Tom Waits "Invitation to the Blues"
Pearl Jam "Elderly Woman"
John Coltrane "Love Supreme"
Stevie Wonder "As"
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Eddie Vedder "The Face of Love" (Dead Man Walking Soundtrack)
and just for kicks - Warrant "I saw red"

i think of it particularly is a song approximately giving a releationship one final try. Like, you are going to be able to circulate by using difficult situations and omit the situations you employ to have and you do no longer pick that to circulate away. In different words... i think of evidently like a tragic love song.
