I know that is a strange question. My mom is sick and the doctors are trying to adjust her medicine. She is really dizzy, and feels faint often because of her low blood pressure. I am so sad she is sick. I wish I could help her. Another medicine may interfeir with what she allready takes.

The correct answer is salt. And drink fluid. Salt holds the fluid in the cells of the body. The cells swell and that increases the amount of work the heart has to do to push blood through the swollen areas thus raising blood pressure. As a side effect, that will probably push more blood to the head and may relieve the dizziness.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

I don't know about food but I know licorice andsalt both raise the blood pressure; consult her doctor first. Resistance exercises like weight lifting and weight gain also raise blood pressure; again, consult her physician.
I imagine she's already been told to move slowly to reduce or prevent dizziness.

when I had low blood pressure I would eat some salt so I wouldn't faint. It worked right away. However, check this out with your doc first.

Some salt, but not too much, will help. Coffee or cola will also tend to raise blood pressure. (tea also has caffeine but not as much in an available form).
Good luck,
Dan.

She needs to be better hydrated.
Try having her drink some gatorade.
The better hydrated they are, the better the blood pressure will be... in theory.
