Sorry, I'm not female but the answer is readily obvious to me. Most forms of birth control alter your hormone levels to make your body think that you are already "pregnant" more or less. This is what makes it difficult for your to conceive while on the given chemical.
Anything that messes with your hormones will mess with your libido. For example, I was given a mild steroid to recover from surgery. It revoked about half of my "drive" but made me very hyperactive and forgetful. Hormonal balances in the body are more important than most people realize

Alcohol depresses the part of the brain that controls inhibitions-so that lingering sex drive that may be dampened by hormone injections is "set free" for a while. Although I wouldn't use it regularly. Remember that it "enhances desire but impairs performance." The side effects of Depo should wear off eventually anyway.

there is something in the de depo shot thats not agreeing with your hormones and thats why. As for hornyness when you drink thats normal for everyone. Alcohol has an anti body init that does travel in the blood stream and also effect all body. Alcohol makes my sex drive high too

I have taken depo for twelve years. I love it. When i first started taking it i did have mood swings. They disappeared over time. Your hormones may be out of wack. Your body should adjust if this is the case. The alcohol deminishes your inhibitions. Perhaps the problem is psychological rather than physiological.

Depo is known for descreasing the sex drive. Don't know if it still is or not, but several years ago it was given to child molester and such to descrease their drive. Can't explain the alcohol part, aside from the "already known" alcohol=decrease in rational decision making, probably talk to your dr. about it.
