I sometimes spray down the pants with a water bottle, I use a quality iron and spray starch. But it's really difficult to do the top of the pants especially in the back by the pockets. I've tried using the tip of the ironing board and sliding the pants onto it to make it one layer, but it always seems thick and hard to flatten. Any tips would be great!! Thanks.

Get yourself a good steam iron. The kind of steam iron that you just hold up to the garment, and the steam immediately takes out the wrinkles in all those hard to get to places. They are not expensive, and they work very well.

I have the same problem. I, too, slide the pants to the edge of the board, tilt the iron and press with the edges of the iron plate, then I pull the pants back on the board and let the iron sit on the problem area 1/2 a minute until I hear the steam do a couple spurts and that's the best I can do with some of the pants.

It's hard when there is a lot of fashion detail on or near the pockets. The pockets are thick and attached so close to the waistband stitching. Generally, I wear my shirts hanging outside so that isn't a big problem for me. I really don't think anyone pays any attention to those back pockets as long as the pants doesn't look as if I am wearing something I pulled it out of the laundry hamper

With a steam iron. Do the back of the pants first and the creases last
