I'm in the process of creating an online community (similiar to MySpace) but I need a site that has a lot of free bandwidth plus FTP and MySQL.

Here are some good websites that offer the facilities that you want..

1. http://www.5gigs.com - I used to host a online community there. Now my website doesn't exist there

At 5gigs you get, 5 GB monthly bandwidth and 80 MB disk space. No Ads.

2. http://www.100webspace.com - offers 3 GB bandwidth and 100 MB storage. Ad supported.

3. http://phpnet.us - offers 80 GB monthly bandwidth and 300 MB storage. No Ads.

4. http://www.byethost.com/

an Online Community like myspace in a free server will just make your community unpredictable.

in your case, you need paid hosting. Honestly.

Try dreamhost, it has everything you need for your community, and it's trully cheap. This is only a recommendation for your upcomming website.

http://www.dreamhost.com hosting solution (if you're also looking hosting with a free domain in the packages) , a respectable company and has a good support, uptime with over 700 servers. They give you 20GB Space and 1 Terrabyte of Bandwidth, and a free domain for a good price ($119/year), and with the promo code HOT75 you get $75 off to any yearly and monthly plans you purchase. They have everything you need.

Which means, with that promo code, you get $119 - $75 = $44/year
and $44 / 12 months is only $3.67 a month for that great deal!

I've been with them for 5 months, and everything works smoothly with no problems at all. Trully reliable.
