I recently just pierced my nose, but once i took the needle out, i figured out that the needle was too small when i was putting the actual nosestud in! so now the nosestud only goes halfway in, and it's far too painful to push it all the way. my friend even tried but shes not strong enough to get the stud through. so now it's more sore..what should i do to numb my nose? i tried ice already..still hurts. im going to try to find some painkillers, and then try piercing it again. i also tried burning the needle and then sticking it through my nose fastly, but that didn't work either. ahh im running out of ideas please help!!

I could write a page on how much you've messed up.

For piercing, you need a proper needle that is the correct Gage , it has to be surgical stainless steel.
You have to be able to sterilize it, properly, which you can't do unless you have an autoclave.
Burning your sewing needle with a flame does not clean it, it actually makes it more dirty, and it can burn the coating off because the cheap metal is not made of surgical stainless steel. When you pierce it, this coating flakes off and gets lodged inside of your skin. Also the butane from the lighter, goes onto the needle and also goes in the piercing. You also can't do a proper follow through with a sewing needle.

You also need proper starter sized-nose jewelry to allow for the swelling.

When properly done the nostril piercing doesn't hurt that bad.I pierced my own twice, but in a stereile shop with gloves and with the proper tools. I also know what I'm doing.

You also could be piercing on the wrong angle, or at the wrong spot. If your going through a thick piece of cartilage, your stud wont fit.

Get it done professionally, theres so many more reasons where you went wrong.

You totally screwed up.
You've also discovered the hard way why professionals don't do it this way. Granted, lessons learned the hard way tend to be remembered better.

The only painkillers out there that will make ANY difference are prescription only and if you have them, you have much bigger problems. If you succeed in finding a way to numb the pain, all it's going to allow you to do is cause much more tissue damage and scarring (and if I'm not mistaken, you're doing this to look *GOOD* which scarring definitely will not help) before you either give up or have that stud crammed through the hole. Once all that's done, you'll then have an uphill battle with potential infection (hello more pain and additional scarring). I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you never considered that some of the bugs out there that can cause a nasty infection are NOT killed by alcohol or peroxide.

GO TO A PROFESSIONAL and have it done quickly, safely, and with the least amount of pain and struggling possible.

It sounds like you're either too young or too cheap to have a professional do the job CORRECTLY.

Ice is the best thing besides ladacane.Be very careful what you put on their because you could get an infection.Make sure you wash with alchoal and then use antiobotic ointment.Their is this new neosporin that contains a numbing solution maby that could help. You really should leave the pierceing to the perfessionals.Just to warn you it will probably be even more sore tomorrow.

I did the same thing. You'll have to let it get over being sore and swollen, and go back to get it done again! Take the stud you want in your nose and have them put that one in for you. It takes a while for it to heal to where you can change studs.

STOP trying to do this yourself. GO to a professional and have them try to fix this mess.
On a side note, Dr. Bronner's soap is a pure Castille soap that is really gentle and helps things heal nicely.
