i got a 1985 honda 4 wheeler?

how do i adjust the valves i can turn to top dead one way they are both loose and turn to top dead again then they are both tight? how do i do this?

The piston makes 2 revolutions for the cam to go 1. First stroke is intake and compression, then power and exuast. You need to put the feeler gauges in when you're at top dead center and they are loose.

When they are loose and the piston is at TDC. The cam lobes aren't touching the valves.
