Very simple!
Democrats holds liberty as the primary political value. Broadly speaking,Democrats seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, especially of government and religion, the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports relatively free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of minorities are guaranteed. In modern society, liberals favour a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed
Republicans:
Repupublicans philosophy primarily concerned with means over ends. To a conservative, the goal of change is less important than the insistence that change be effected with a respect for the rule of law and traditions of society.
Conservatives are really Fascists

This is not the right site to find the answer to this question. You are going to get a lot of false information, and a lot of bashing to both sides. As most of the users here that claim to be one or the other have absolutely no idea as to what their party honestly represents. You should research both sides else where.

As much as they both would like us to believe they stand for the people, what they really stand for is power -- their own. No political party in existence today stands for people. It's all about the power and who they can crush with it.
Oh, and also how much money they can take from us. Power and money; there's your political platforms for all parties.

The Liberal Agenda
•attack American traditions, specifically Christian traditions and the traditional American family
•engage in "get-even" policies that support discrimination when it benefits historically disadvantaged groups
•punish and/or discourage achievement through taxation and fiscal policies
•use the rulings of the Judicial branch of the government as de facto law, irrevocable by anything short of Constitutional amendment or a future court ruling, thus bypassing the legislative process. Roe V. Wade is the most frequently cited example of "judicial activism". (48 million dead and counting)
•weaken the military strength and morale of the country by vilifying the practice of armed combat and hesitating to use force when it appears necessary
•use regulatory bodies over private enterprise to accomplish social goals and restrict competition (government, education, labor and health care)
•establish secular and progressive social policy, including support for gay marriage, abortion, liberal drug policy, euthanasia and prostitution legalization.
•implement a foreign policy supporting the selected protection of human rights and multiculturalism through activism, social intervention and violence (social anarchism)
